Generate UK drill beats with skippy hi-hats, sliding 808s, and the signature London sound.
UK drill is one of the most influential rap subgenres of the past decade. Defined by skippy hi-hat patterns, sliding 808s, and dark cinematic samples, it has spawned global imitators and dominated UK rap charts. Meloro's AI captures the rhythmic complexity that distinguishes UK drill from its Chicago roots.
This subgenre lives across the entire London ecosystem — from Pop Smoke's Brooklyn adaptation to Headie One's UK foundations to Central Cee's pop crossover. The sound is recognizable from the first hi-hat skip.
With Meloro, you can produce UK drill beats that capture the signature production style — sliding bass, dark melodies, and that unmistakable rhythmic feel.
Questions, answered
What makes UK drill different from US drill?
UK drill uses skippy, syncopated hi-hat patterns and slightly faster BPMs. It also features more rhythmic complexity in the 808 patterns compared to Chicago drill.
Who are the biggest UK drill artists?
Headie One, Central Cee, Digga D, Russ Millions, and the late Pop Smoke (who adapted UK drill into Brooklyn drill) are major figures.
What BPM is UK drill?
UK drill typically runs 140-145 BPM with a half-time feel. The skippy hi-hat patterns make it feel busier than the BPM suggests.
