Create Memphis Phonk with AI
Generate classic 90s Memphis rap-inspired phonk with chopped samples, gritty drums, and tape warmth.
Memphis phonk is the original phonk — the underground sound that birthed the modern genre. Built from chopped Three 6 Mafia and DJ Screw samples, gritty 808 drums, and the unmistakable feel of warped cassette tape, it captures the menace of 1990s Memphis rap. Meloro's AI channels that lineage faithfully — slow swung beats, dark piano motifs, ad-lib vocal chops, and tape saturation that smells like the basement studios where this sound was born.
Memphis phonk feels different from drift phonk. It is slower, hazier, more rooted in hip-hop than electronic music. Producers like SpaceGhostPurrp and DJ Smokey kept the flame alive, and a new generation has rediscovered the sound on TikTok.
With Meloro you can shape Memphis phonk that respects the original aesthetic — without needing to crate-dig through decades of Memphis cassettes.
